Two global companies have chosen customer relationship management software from Cegedim, including SaaS-based access via the iPad.
The seeds planted during last fall’s technology budgeting season are bearing fruit in the new year. In the realm of customer relationship management (CRM) software, for instance, cosmetics manufacturer Bioderma Spain has decided to increase its investment in technology from CRM provider Cegedim, which specializes in software for pharmaceutical and life sciences companies.
Bioderma Spain, a maker of skin-enhancement creams and related products, will install Cegedim’s Mobile Intelligence for iPad via SaaS as the centralized CRM system for its specialty commercial sales team and its headquarters, Cegedim said in a statement today. The CRM software will help create a holistic view of the manufacturer’s interaction with its customers, according to Cegedim. This type of integrated view allows salespeople to understand how their customers and prospective customers influence purchase decisions, as well as how they fit within the organizational hierarchy of their companies, the vendor noted.
Specifically, the Cegedim CRM software will allow Bioderma Spain to improve its reporting on sales calls and its scheduling procedures, said Christophe Billet, Bioderma Spain’s general manager, in the statement. In turn, Billet expects those new capabilities to promote consistent marketing messaging to customers. "Mobile Intelligence reinforces our multi-channel approach to stakeholders and assists our company in refocusing our business goals as our health system changes," he said.
The Bioderma Spain contract includes access to OneKey, a healthcare professional database, as well as support services from Cegedim.
The news marks the second CRM selection announcement from Cegedim in as many days. On Monday, the company revealed that pharmaceutical maker Reckitt Benckiser will employ the Mobile Intelligence for iPad technology via SaaS as its centralized CRM platform for various commercial groups.
