The company’s flagship product, TrackWise, has been upgraded with new Web services that can share unstructured content and more efficiently manage user permissions and compliance processes across global operations.

Sparta Systems Inc. has rolled out a new version of its enterprise quality management software, TrackWise. The upgrade is said to include new Web services capabilities and functionality that reduce the administrative burden for global manufacturers working in highly regulated industries.

The new version adds control and provisioning of log-in accounts and user roles, including the ability to translate permissions that have been assigned within existing enterprise applications. The software also now automates the creation of supplier and customer accounts for Web portals.

In addition, TrackWise, which is based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA) and embedded Web services, now features enhanced integration between the quality management system and other applications, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) ), laboratory information management systems (LIMS), and manufacturing execution systems (MES). Enhanced integration functionality in the new version enables the interchange of unstructured content, such as pictures, videos, and other files, between TrackWise and enterprise applications. Both structured and unstructured files and data can be exposed through pre-existing enterprise portals and reporting tools, according to the company.

This latest release falls in line with the company’s commitment to help global manufacturers deal with international regulatory authorities by managing all quality processes in a centralized database. Doing so streamlines workflow processes; enables site level, process level, and role-based security; and automates the sending of notifications when tasks are due—all while allowing manufacturers to focus on business and remain competitive.

“Businesses today are challenged with pressure to increase operational efficiency and deliver consistent revenues that can be reinvested in the company,” said Mike Jovanis, vice president of product management and strategic marketing for Sparta Systems, in a statement. “The latest version of TrackWise addresses these challenges by giving organizations enterprise-class integration capabilities that reduce manual overhead and inefficiencies between business-critical systems.”
