From a small payroll outsourcing company, Payroll Solutions evolved into a provider of human capital management software now to be known as Sentric Inc.
The human capital management software vendor Payroll Solutions, which began its corporate existence in 1994 as an outsourced payroll services provider, will henceforth be known as Sentric Inc., the company announced Sept. 6.
Based in Pittsburgh, with a West Coast outpost in Huntington Beach, CA, Sentric said it chose to rebrand because it wanted a name more reflective of its customer-centric focus. The company had been known as Payroll Solutions/AvantX, as well as by the Prodigy brand name associated with its HCM software. As part of the overhaul, the company’s Prodigy human capital management portfolio will now be known as Sentric Workforce, the company said in a statement.
Sentric lists 2,500 customers in North America, which hints at its growth from regional payroll processor to full-fledged human capital management provider. The company continues to offer payroll services, and, since the debut of its workforce management offering in 2004, has also delivered software that automates core human capital management functions. Sentric moved to a SaaS model for the HCM software in 2007, and will now offer two main products under the under Sentric Workforce umbrella: core human capital management functions and time–and-labor tracking
SentricHCM offers tools for core HR functions such as payroll, employment administration, onboarding, training and development, and performance and expense management, according to the company. SentricTLM is a time-and–labor-management software package that features job tracking, customized reporting, and real-time views of overtime requests and other crucial labor metrics.
